Team Discussion Day 3 The Boy of the Painted Cave (Theme and Conflict Resolution) T pg P S pg Vocabulary 1. What problems are bothering Tao. Describe how Tao's relationship with the wolf dog helps with his problems. What is a theme you found today. What. One day, the kitchen boy Leonid loses one of the secret notes he was supposed to send from the Tsar to the nuns.

That same day, the Bolshevik commander comes to the house and dismisses the kitchen boy, telling him to never return. A few days later, in the middle of the pitch-black night, the Bolshevik guards wake up the Romanov family. The book was about a boy who found a cave with creatures inside that had claws like razors.

The eyes of the creatures were large and bulging. The also talked about people going missing in the boys town. I remember a passage from the book where the boy was laying in bed one night and seen glowing yellow eyes outside his window.

What I remember about her is that she is being held captive in a cave in a mountain by an old man. And she has to do a chore for him everyday I believe that has to do with writing. She figures out his secret and she learns magic and escapes outside the cave by the end of the book.

The boy character is more introverted and subdued. This is an excellent book with detailed information surrounding the geographical, medical, physical, political, and emotional trials the rescue team(s) faced in getting the 12 Thai boys and their coach from the flooded cave in summer /5().

Illus. in full color. "Clever Cave Boy, a.k.a. Harry, tells about his inventions--a bammer (a hammer) and a boomer (drums). To top if off, Harry is the only one who pleases Chief Grump on his birthday: Harry takes his newly invented wheel and makes a tricycle for the Chief/5(6).

Children's book, the cover was paperback and I think it was mostly red. The man mentioned in the title was the antagonist, a German soldier who had a lost his hand (I think in WW1).

The protagonist was a young girl (?) who lived in a village in France. She befriends a boy during the book, but I can't remember his significance to the story.

THE BOY IN THE FIELD By Margot Livesey. In the broadest sense, Margot Livesey’s exquisite novel “The Boy in the Field” is a whodunit.

Who attacked this boy in. Cave Boy was the first book I read on my own as a child. As such I was excited to find it for my daughter to try to read.

It would be incredibly easy to get this kindle edition right. Even though there are probably less than words in the whole story, the publisher hasn't taken the time to transcribe them so the kindle can read the text. Reviews: 7. Boy of the Painted Cave by Justin Densel Philomel, (p) Tao wants to be a cave painter but it is forbidden because his lame foot is seen as a curse that prevents him from becoming one of.

Tao is an outcast. Unlike the great hunters of his clan, Tao does not want to kill the wild bears or woolly mammoths of the hunt. Instead he wants only to paint them. But only Chosen Ones can be cave painters. What's more, Volt, the clan leader, violently despises Tao.

And when the other clan members discover Tao's secret talent, they cast him out into the wilderness alone/5(29). The main character in Boy of the Painted Cave has a disability which he overcomes.

According to the book, what was the attitude towards people with disabilities. Tao is a bad footed orphan. Tao takes Graybeard to his cave for the first time. Why does Graybeard try to erase Tao's art with dirt and soot.

Tao is a boy who was shunned in his clan. The story takes place in early human times, when people painted in caves, even before ancient Mesopotamia. His mother died when he was just a baby, and his father disowned him. Kala, an elderly woman in his clan, took him in, because his father wanted to leave him out for the hyenas.

Chapter 7: Event 1 Tao invites Graybeard to his cave, and talks. They find out they have lots of similarities. Tao shows Graybeard the drawing of the horse he drew, and Graybeard got really mad. He calls Tao a young fool, and he broke 2 taboos.

6. Chapter 9: Event 1 Tao climbs up the cave and sketches some animals.Search the world's most comprehensive index of full-text books.
